Top 10 songs to jog to
February 9, 2009
Music has always played an important part in my life. I listened to music on the train, the bus to keep me occupied. Listening to music can cause a great change in mood, and as I’ve realized, can even improve your stamina and endurance.
These days I make sure I run 3 times a week and do some light weight training after that. It’s been going quite well for about 3 weeks already, and apparently it’s not helping me lose any extra pounds because I happen to consume food by the truckloads :( On the bright side, I feel pretty fit and not so guilty when I eat!
So I’ve gathered a couple of songs in my stolen iPod and added them to my On-the-go playlist, songs that I listen to when I’m running on my treadmill. These songs mostly have what I’d call inspirational lyrics, and very groovy drumbeats. Any dance music would do, really.
Also, I’ve found that wearing earphones is better than blasting music through your speakers. It gives me more energy and drive somehow.
Anyway, without further ado, here’s my personal list of the top 10 songs to jog to, not in any order:
1. Damaged – Danity Kane
I love the beats of this song. Can you fix my h-e-a-r-t ‘cuz it’s d-a-m-a-g-e-d?
2. Face Down – Red Jump Suit Apparatus
Very loud, very noisy, very energizing.
3. I hate this part – Pussy Cat Dolls

Once again, yes, the beats. Unlike no.2, it’s not noisy and loud, but it’s enough to keep you moving. Heck, it’s a great song to listen to anyway!
4. Misery – Good Charlotte
I’ve always found that being angry/sad/pissed off gives me more energy and determination. While I definitely don’t recommend making yourself feel that way, it’s a good song nevertheless. Loud, noisy and fast.
5. My Oh My – Aqua

Dance song. So cute. But aren’t all songs from the 90s cute?
6. Numb – Encore
“What the hell are you waiting for?”
7. Open the door – Sugababes.
The Sugababes released their first single being About You Now, it’s a groovy song, too, and it’s also in my On-the-go playlist. Open The Door is a less popular song in that same album.
8. Shut Up and Drive – Rihanna
:D
9. Stronger – Kanye West

One of the best songs to run to. “Th-th-th-that don’t kill me, can only make me stronger.”
10. Viva La Vida – Coldplay
I listen to this when I’m slowing down, catching my breath.
Some other songs include Stop & stare (surprise, surprise!!), Yesterday; Bleeding Love – Leona Lewis, Just Dance – Lady Gaga…
Lady Gaga’s body alone is a huge inspiration, you know :|

awww sho cute <3
